Apertura 2017 Week 3 Results: Lobos 3, Pachuca 2

In their 3rd game since being promoted to the top tier, Lobos BUAP continues to defy all expectations, and although they had to hang on for a win yesterday they still managed to hold off still-winless Pachuca 3-2 at home. After a scoreless first half, Lobos got goals from Julian Quiones, Juan Medina & Enrique Quiones over a 12-minute span to quickly run out to a 3-0 lead, but a few minutes later they conceded a PENAL! to Pachuca which Edson Puch converted right after he entered the game to make it 3-1. Jonathan Urretaviscaya scored a second-half stoppage time goal to cut the deficit to 1 but it was not enough. Lobos now has a share of the top spot after 3 weeks while the Tuzos are a very surprising 0-3.
