Apertura 2017 Week 3 Results: Guadalajara 2, Necaxa 2

Still seeking its first win after 2 straight ties to open the season, Guadalajara welcomed in a Necaxa team looking to go 3-0 to start the year, in a game with an offense-filled first half and not much after halftime resulting in a 2-2 tie. It took just 8 minutes for Angel Zaldivar to give the Chivas a 1-0 lead, and about 10 minutes later Rodolfo Pizarro made it 2-0, but Carlos Gonzalez & Luis Perez then scored back-to-back unanswered goals to pull Necaxa even in the 28th minute and that’s how it finished. Necaxa now is in a 4-way logjam at the top of the standings while the Chivas have yet to manage more than a tie so far.
