Apertura 2017 Schedule Released

The league today released the entire Apertura 2017 Tournament schedule. Among the highlights:
The newly promoted Lobos will host Santos in their first Liga MX game in Round 1 on July 22. Their first road game is Round 2 at Queretaro. Lobos has yet to finalize their TV deal for home games.
If you’re looking forward to the eventual Tigres-Guadalajara rematch-to-be, you’ll be waiting a while. They won’t play again (after the Campeon de Campeones) until Round 12, when the Chivas visit Tigres on September 30.
Round 6 & 11 will be played on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. In fact, the first 6-7 weeks will see games almost every day due to COPA MX games. There will be a week off between Rounds 7 & 8 for a pair of Mexican National Team games. Same for between Rounds 12 & 13, as well as between Rounds 16 & 17, the last ones being World Cop Qualifiers.
The Apertura COPA MX Final will be November 2.
The Gran Fiesta (playoffs) begins November 22. The Gran Final will be December 7 & 10, unless Pachuca reaches the finals. If that happens, the finals will be pushed back to December 20 & 23 due to their participating in the Club World Cup.
