Ascenso MX Grand Championship Game 1 Results: Lobos 1, Dorados 0

The Ascenso MX Grand Championship began today, with Lobos BUAP vs. Dorados Game 1, and after today Lobos are halfway to being promoted to Liga MX thanks to a 1-0 win at home. Amaury Escoto scored the only goal on a 23rd minute header for Lobos to help them win, but also hurt them with an early second half Rojas! HE GONE! Evidently he wasn’t happy about not maybe drawing a penalty on the attack and had some words for the Dorados goalie…and possibly spit in his face and the goalie perfectly sold it. That means Escoto will sit out Game 2. Lobos will only need to win or tie in Game 2 to earn promotion, while Dorados will need to win by at least 2 goals, or 1-0 to force a tiebreaker penalty kick shootout.
