Clausura 2017 Quarterfinals Game 1 Results: Morelia 1, Tijuana 0

The 1-8 matchup began tonight’s quarterfinals doubleheader, with Tijuana hoping to avoid a second straight fluke defeat in the quarterfinals. They’re off to a bad start again, being shut out 1-0 at Morelia. Miguel Sansores scored the only goal in the 10th minute. One item of note, Morelia subbed out top goal scorer Raul Ruidiaz in the 38th minute. They didn’t need him tonight though. Game 2 will be winner-take-all unless it ends 1-0 Tijuana, then we might need penalty kicks to decide the winner.
