DIsciplinary Report: Clausura 2017 Round 17

The Disciplinary Commission has published the list of sanctions coming out of Clausura 2017 Round 17. The list of warnings was not posted as it’s now irrelevant, but the list is still long as there were a whopping 6 ejections over the weekend, and 7 suspensions total. All get 1 game suspensions. For those who made the playoffs, they will sit out the first game of the quarterfinals. For those who didn’t, they sit out Round 1 of next year.

Jesus Mendez, Toluca-disrespecting officials, 1 Game Suspension (to miss quarterfinals Game 1)
Francisco Silva, Cruz Azul-2 Amarillas in same game, 1 Game Suspension (to miss Game 1 next year)
Neri Cardozo, Queretaro-2 Amarillas in same game, 1 Game Suspension (to miss Game 1 next year)
Manuel Iturra, Necaxa-5 Amarillas in same tournament, 1 Game Suspension (to miss Game 1 next year)
Jorge Tavares, Santos-guilty of serious foul play, 1 Game Suspension (to miss quarterfinals Game 1)
Walter Sandoval, Santos-guilty of serious foul play, 1 Game Suspension (to miss quarterfinals Game 1)
