Clausura 2017 Round 16 Results: Queretaro 2, Toluca 1

Toluca’s season-ending winless skid reached 4 games today, as they blew yet another chance to reclaim 1st place with a 2-1 home loss to Queretaro. Fernando Uribe’s header gave Toluca a 39th-minute lead, but then it was downhill as right afterwards assistant coach Jose Rangel got a Rojas! HE GONE! In the second half Camilo Da Silva scored 2 goals to put Queretaro ahead late, and Toluca hurt themselves further when Antonio Naelson failed on a PENAL! just before the second Da Silva goal. The win keeps Queretaro’s very slim playoff hopes alive, and while they will need a lot of help their finale is against the team they have to beat to have any chance to back in-Tigres.
