The theme of playoff contenders not wanting to firm up their chances continued last night, although Pachuca & Guadalajara tried hard. But in the end, the Tuzos & Chivas played to, maybe not surprisingly, the ever-popular 0-0 tie. The real action came late, first in the 72nd minute when Guadalajara’s Michael Perez went up to kick the ball in the air but instead kicked a nearby Pachuca player in the side…OUCH! Rojas! HE GONE! But Pachuca couldn’t take advantage-this peaked in the 85th minute when Pachuca assistant coach Claudio Arzeno apparently was en fuego over Alan Pulido only getting an Amarilla for a hard slide tackle on Hirving Lozano, so…Rojas! HE GONE! He didn’t miss much, but he will miss next week. The tie kept the Chivas from retaking 1st place this week and the Tuzos-the defending Clausura Champions-clinging to the final playoff spot by only 1 point over the charging Tigres.
