Clausura 2017 Round 14 Results: America 1, Queretaro 0

There was at least one team that decided to take advantage of all the playoff contenders not wanting to win this weekend-America continued it’s steady climb up the standings with a 1-0 win at home against Queretaro. Silvio Romero scored the only goal in the 42nd minute. With the win, America has moved to within only 2 points of the league lead. Not bad after their winless slump to open the second half. As for Queretaro, this latest skid has wiped out their midseason hot streak and all but done in their playoff chances.
