Clausura 2017 Round 10 Results: Santos 2, Monterrey 2

In what originally was nearly a matchup of the last 2 unbeaten teams in this half, Santos & Monterrey met looking to improve their postseason positions, but in the end not much changed as Monterrey rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to salvage a 2-2 tie. Santos needed only 2 minutes to take the lead on a Julio Furch header, and took a 2-0 lead 15 minutes later on a Ulysses Rivas goal. But the Rayados rallied soon after-Yimmi Chara put Monterrey on the board in the 24th minute, and Edwin Cardona tied it up in the 55th minute, and that’s how the game ended. The tie keeps Monterrey out of the top 2 for now while Santos missed a chance to keep pace with Tijuana for 4th place
