Clausura 2017 Round 10 Results: America 1, Necaxa 0

If Necaxa is trying to prove it’s improbable first-half playoff run following it’s latest promotion was a fluke, it’s certainly succeeded. They have all but played themselves out of contention this half following a 1-0 shutout tonight at America. Once again Oribe Peralta was the hero for the hosts, scoring on an 83rd-minute header for the game’s only goal. Following their winless slump to open the half, America has now played it’s way into 5th place after starting out last.
