If tonight was any indication, Tigres may want to play all their remaining games close together. Still struggling to make the second half playoffs, they played their best game since Round 1 with a surprise 3-0 blanking of Guadalajara. Andre-Pierre Gignac finally rediscovered his scoring touch for a night at least, scoring the first and last goals for Tigres, only needing 5 minutes to open the scoring. Jesus Duenas scored the other goal in the 73rd minute. Meanwhile the defense kept the Chivas off the board and from taking any real shots. Tigres pulls to within 2 points of 8th for now with the win while Guadalajara is in danger of potentially falling 4 points behind Toluca in the race for first place-it also may have cost them a chance to lock up a playoff spot this week.
