Clausura 2017 Round 13 Results: Atlas 4, Queretaro 1

It looks like Queretaro has run out of steam since their hot streak ended last week, as evident yesterday in a 4-1 blowout loss at home to Atlas. Martin Barragan put Atlas on the board first in the 12th minute, then Gustavo Alustiza doubled up the lead just 5 minutes later. In the second half, Barragan headed in his second of the game in the 53rd minute, and Daniel Alvarez added a direct shot goal in the 87th minute. Only an Emanuel Villa score just before the end prevented a shutout. The win moves Atlas into the top 5 for now while Queretaro slips to 11th, but only 2 points back of 8th.
