Clausura 2017 Round 12 Results: Santos 1, Queretaro 0

The final game of the weekend saw Santos continue their statistical oddity of a season, playing their way back into the top 8 for now with only their 3rd win of the tournament, 1-0 at home over Queretaro. Jorge Tavares accounted for the only goal in the 59th minute, but based on offensive stats the game was far more one-sided than the score indicated as Santos clearly dominated. Santos sneaks back into the top 8 but still has been held back a bit by their 3-1-7 record, as in 7 ties. Queretaro falls out of the top 8, having been as high as 6th in their recent hot streak, but is only one point out of the playoffs now.
