Clausura 2017 Round 11 Results: Morelia 1, Puebla 0

What looked like it was going to be a rather eventless 0-0 tie turned out not to be thanks to a last-second miracle that helped Morelia get further ahead of potential demotion and into the playoff picture at the same time with a 1-0 road win at Puebla. The only goal came on a Miguel Sansoros header at the end of regulation. Otherwise the only event of note was going to be Puebla’s Robert Herrera getting a Rojas! HE GONE! 2 Amarillas, the last coming in the 83rd minute that put Puebla a man down for the last few minutes. Worth noting Morelia had already taken Raul Ruidiaz out already in the 63rd minute to end his goal scoring streak at 3 straight…albeit for Sansoros. Morelia is now into 7th and crowds an already tight playoff race even further. But maybe not for long-next week they have Guadalajara.
