The Disciplinary Commission announced today it is investigating complaints made by Guadalajara & America, respectively, against Toluca’s Rubens Sambueza and Leon’s Andres Andrade due to aggressive play causing injuries. The former has been a big story this past weekend as the Chivas lost Isaac Brizuela for almost certainly the rest of the year (the league year ends this summer) to injuries caused by Sambueza, while America’s complaint stems from Andrade injuring Renato Ibarra. The Commission has announced that while the investigations take place, both Sambueza and Andrade are suspended indefinitely. Sambueza will be suspended for at least the next game this weekend no matter what due to being ejected. Both players will have the right to appear before the Commission to respond to the complaints.
