Clausura 2017 Round 9 Results; Guadalajara 2, Toluca 0

There is once again a new leader at the top of the league, and this time it’s Guadalajara. The Chivas continued their second half surge last night with a one-sided 2-0 home win over Toluca. Alan Pulido scored the first goal in the 31st minute, then Toluca made it easier for the Chivas when Rubens Sambueza, who was likely heading for an imminent suspension for accumulating Amarillas, decided to get himself on a break by running over the Chivas player with the ball from behind in the 33rd minute…Rojas! HE GONE! So Toluca was now a man down the rest of the way, although 7 minutes later Guadalajara physical trainer Guido Bonini apparently took issue with something not shown on replay and so…Rojas! HE GONE! In the second half, Pulido scored the second Chivas goal in the 72nd minute, then 5 minutes later Toluca put themselves 2 men down when Gabriel Hauche got busted for a hard slide tackle ahead of a Guadalajara player getting the ball…Rojas! HE GONE! So Toluca will be at least 2 players short next week after clearly being dominated and really losing their cool.
