Liga MX continues to be a place where no lead is safe, especially these last couple weeks. Guadalajara found that out the hard way today, as Jaguares came from out of nowhere after halftime to rally past the Chivas at home 4-3. Guadalajara needed just over a minute to take the first lead as Rodolfo Pizarro scored his 3rd of the tournament in the second minute for a quick 1-0 lead, then Angel Zaldivar scored on a PENAL! to give the Chivas a 2-0 lead at halftime. But Jaguares came out roaring after that-Felix Araujo’s 50th-minute header got the hosts on the board, then as soon as play resumed they were awarded a PENAL! of their own, and Jonathan Fabbro converted it to tie the game. Then right after that Lucas Silva scored a third unanswered goal in just 5 minutes to give Jaguares the lead. But they weren’t done-Luis Leal made it 4 unanswered goals in a row with a 71st minute score. Pizarro got the Chivas back within 1 with his second of the game in the 83rd minute, but they would get no closer. Jaguares denies Guadalajara 3 points and keeps them from sole possession of second place right behind Tijuana, and the hosts also climb into the top 8 for now pending Santos’ result.
