Clausura 2017 Round 8 Results: America 2, Cruz Azul 0

The only game of the weekend being played in Mexico City took place tonight, it saw America get a much-needed win at home 2-0 over Cruz Azul. Oribe Peralta scored both goals for the hosts, first in the 28th minute then in the 81st minute. He didn’t get a chance for the hat trick though, as he was substituted out in the 85th minute. America clearly was the aggressor although maybe too much at times, judging by the 6 Fuera de lugar calls against them. One thing that had me doing a double take was when I saw Cruz Azul player Enzo Roco Roco showing up as getting one of the Amarillas on the night-not making fun of the name at all but it just sounded odd even though I know it’s Latin or Spanish…got even weirder when Roco got Rojas! HE GONE! It was for 2 Amarillas in the game. So no go Loco for Roco next week…I’ll stop now.
