Clausura 2017 Round 7 Results: Toluca 2, Morelia 1

Toluca assured itself of a second straight week at the top of the standings while also denying Morelia a chance to gain more ground on Veracruz in the battle to avoid demotion as the host Monarcas lost to the league leaders 2-1. Toluca took the lead late in the first half on a Fernando Uribe header in the 38th minute, but right after the second half started Gabriel Achiller headed in the tying goal for Morelia. Pablo Barrientos scored the eventual game-winner for Toluca in the 64th minute.
