Tijuana-Corona Out Several More Weeks

Tijuana sent out a press release today updating the condition of injured defenseman Yasser Corona, who is recovering from back surgery. He had surgery 3 weeks ago and is out indefinitely and waiting for an update on post-surgery status, based on that he likely is out at least 3 more weeks. Corona made a brief statement thanking the fans for their support and saying only time & doctors can tell when or if he will be able to play again. Corona, 29, is in his 3rd season in Liga MX and first with Tijuana (he spent his first 2 years with Queretaro), He has not played a full regular season tournament (he missed one game his first tournament due to a suspension). This tournament he has played only 66 minutes over 2 games-5 minutes in round 2 & 61 minutes in round 3. He has 3 career Liga MX goals and 1 goal in Copa MX.
