2 weeks into the second half there are a couple teams who already seem to be in trouble for various reasons. Surprisingly, one of them is Tigres-it seemed to go from bad to worse after last week’s scoreless tie against Santos as they were blanked 2-0 today at Atlas. Things started out OK but then fell apart right before halftime-in the 44th minute Atlas was attacking and took a shot on goal when Tigres’ Hugo Ayala appeared to head the shot past his own goalie-OWN GOAL! Gustavo Alustiza added an insurance goal for Atlas in the 2nd half as Tigres were shut out again-that’s 2 games now where their offense has been blanked and, given his playoff magic run it seems like Andre-Pierre Gignac is off to another early-tournament slump. They also got undisciplined late with 3 Amarillas in the last 9 minutes. Either way Ricardo Ferretti needs to get this ship turned around fast if they are to keep their postseason momentum going. And now, because the Apertura 2016 Gran Final rematch with America is next.
