The Disciplinary Commission today announced it has received a solicitation of inconformity aka an appeal request from America with regards to the ejection of Paolo Goltz from last night’s Gran Final 2nd leg game against Tigres. Goltz was ejected in the 108th minute during a series of skirmishes between America & Tigres that saw 4 players ejected in total. America’s appeal claims Goltz should not have been ejected and seeks to rescind the red card and mandatory suspension, which would be served to start the Clausura 2017 Tournament. The Commission will now review the appeal and issue a ruling in the next few days.
Updates to follow after the ruling.
