Apertura 2016 Round 17 Results: Jaguares 1, Atlas 0

In the first match of the final Saturday of the regular season, Jaguares will finish in last place but with some momentum thanks to a 1-0 shutout win at home against Atlas. And although the only goal was scored by Vanderley Dias in the 35th minute, Jaguares utterly dominated this matchup, holding Atlas both without a shot on goal and without a corner kick. There was one highlight for Atlas-the premier division debut of 16-year-old Jairo Torres (Ian Jairo Misael Torres Ramires), who entered as a early 2nd-half substitute. And quickly got his first yellow card 20 minutes in. While Jaguares will finish in last, Atlas will finish either 14th or 15th depending on how Queretaro fares against Tigres-a Tigres win or tie and Atlas is 14th, a Queretaro win drops Atlas to 15th.
